Urgency

I believe this nation as a whole lacks a sense of urgency. I often hear people say that we are one election away from losing our country or one Supreme Court decision away from losing this right or that one, but not a soul ever really acts upon those statements. I’m not talking about obsession; I mean like just 15 minutes a day or 2 hours a week. Is that too much to ask for your country and safeguard the future for those you love? In my opinion, We have until Trump leaves office to get amendments in place to fix the system and restrain those in it. I mean we know what we have now and this administration seems intent on keeping that. But what about future administrations? Will they work to keep what we have or will they destroy it all, seize our guns and any right they want, extending their power and control? Based on what we’ve been hearing lately that seems to be what they want to do.
