The Heart of the Democrats

Democratic Party: A History of Oppression for Blacks, Abbreviated

Editorial Comment:

Your ancestors would be so proud of you for voting for the party that tried to keep them slaves and after they failed that murdered, oppressed, threatened, disemboweled, castrated and lynched the blacks right up until LBJ.

The Democrats say very nice things even while they are slowly plunging the dagger of oppression into your back. The party of slavery has a long history of abusing, suppressing and killing blacks. That is a very brief summation of what they’ve done for the past 250 years or so. And they are still doing it. Hopefully the facts detailed below will bear that out. My hope is that you’ll see the truth behind their lies, but that is up to you. After this you’ll wonder why any black would ever vote for any Democrat.

Their disdain for woman is just as real but it’s more hidden.

Summary:

According to their website, the Democrats are everything to every group. A logical impossibility, but nevertheless…

The words below are from the Democratic Party website.

The Democratic National Committee is committed to electing Democrats everywhere – from the school board to the Oval Office. We’re mobilizing voters across the country and building on our historic victories in 2020 and 2022. Together, we will build a better America.

Democrats are the party of inclusion. We know that diversity is not our problem—it is our promise. As Democrats, we respect differences of perspective and belief, and pledge to work together to move this country forward, even when we disagree ... we do not merely seek common ground—we strive to reach higher ground. ” Democratic Party Platform

Democrats will promote racial justice through fair, just, and equitable governing of all public-serving institutions and in the formation of public policy… We will push for a societal transformation to make it clear that black lives matter and that there is no place for racism in our country. ” Democratic Party Platform

For decades, Democrats have stood with the African American community in the struggle for equality and the enduring struggle to perfect our nation itself. (Personal note: They spent over two centuies trying to keep African Americans slaves)

Common values and concerns such as family, jobs, and education unite Democrats everywhere. Democrats across the country continue to work tirelessly to fight back against bigotry and discrimination, and to advance the issues that matter most to African Americans, from civil rights to economic opportunity.

The economic crisis had an especially brutal impact on communities of color that were already struggling long before the financial crisis hit. (Importing illegal aliens is not helping)

Democrats laid a new foundation for long-term economic growth that helps every American, not just those at the top. We are working to save jobs, create new jobs and new opportunities for small businesses, reinvest in our schools, close the educational achievement gap, make college more affordable, and expand opportunities for African Americans and for all Americans.

Democrats are committed to ending the epidemic of senseless gun violence in our communities and reforming the broken criminal justice system that tears families apart. We are fighting against environmental injustices that have allowed low-income children to be exposed to lead and African American children to suffer asthma at twice the rate of white children. We are fighting voting restrictions as Republican legislatures around the country enact laws to keep minority voices away from the ballot box.

Democrats are proud to stand and declare that Black Lives Matter.

We are committed to ensuring full equality for women. Democrats will fight to end gender discrimination in the areas of education, employment, health care, or any other sphere. We will combat biases across economic, political, and social life that hold women back and limit their opportunities.”

The above are the words from the Democratic Party website.

What a wonderful political party. Seems they want to be everything to every one.

But their actions are the opposite of those flowery words.

Let’s take a peek at those actions throughout history.

Colonial era

I feel a duty to address some of the lies of the 1619 project. Tim Barton of Wallbuilders does a great job in a video segment of Biblical Citizenship in Modern America, a Patriot Academy production. But I’ll try.

There were indeed slaves brought to the English colony of Jamestown. But these people were brought in as indentured servants, which meant that after a certain period of time (usually seven years) they were set free of their financial obligation and could become free land owners. Many returned the favor by financing their own indentured servants. In 1651 a free black man petitioned the court that he could own a servant he indentured because that person was so lazy they could never work off their debt. And thus began chattel slavery, the kind of slavery people think of when slavery is mentioned.

Things were much different in the northern colonies. In 1646 a slave ship came to the Plymouth colony. The colony quickly placed the captain and crew under arrest for the crime of man stealing and set the slaves free. In other parts of the northern colonies free blacks contributed immensely to society. Wentworth Cheswell is an example of having a long and varied political career, some 49 years, in a primarily white community.

Another fact often ignored is that Indiana, the Hoosier state, was named after a black person. During the second great awakening many pioneers, who later settled the Indiana territory, were converted by a black man named Harry Hoosier. When these people were converted they exhibited a radical change in behavior and others started referring to them as Hoosiers because they were converted to Christianity by Reverend Hoosier.

The history of the Revolutionary War begins with a black man, ends because of the actions of a black man and contains the exploits of other black men.

Crispus Atticks, killed in the Boston Massacre of 1770;

Prince Estabrook, killed at Lexington Green, Concord, 1775, shot heard round the world;

Peter Salem, hero of Bunker Hill, Boston, 1775 (Salem Poor has also there);

Prince Whipple and Oliver Cromwell, crossed the Delaware with Washington, Christmas Day, 1776;

James Armistead, spy who got intelligence Washington needed to capture Cornwallis and end the war, 1781.

There were many others. “Colored Patriots of the American Revolution”, William Nell (black historian), 1855 and “Services of Colored Americans”, William Nell, 1852

and books by David Barton and others will also bear these facts out.

By the way, America was the first country in the world to end the slave trade beating Great Britain by three months. America was also the fourth nation in the world to end slavery in 1865.

Now, on to the democrats. Before the democrats became the democrats they were part of the Federalists. They wanted a strong centralized government and a national bank, the southern group also was heavily in favor of slavery. It was their threats that caused Thomas Jefferson to eliminate the abolition of slavery content from the Declaration of Independence and later were the reason for the 3/5 compromise in the Constitution. The south wanted full representation for their slaves in Congress, the north didn’t want them to have any for people the south considered as property. And the oppression of blacks by the democrats was just beginning.

Unless otherwise designated, all dates and facts are from “Setting the Record Straight: American History in Black and White” by David Barton. (He has all the references in his book.)

Pre-Civil War era

The Democratic party was officially founded between 1824 and 1832. President Jackson became President and the pro-slavery Democrats controlled Congress. They silenced all talk by abolitionists, like John Quincy Adams.

1820 - Democrats passed the Missouri Compromise, allowing slavery in half of all federal territories openly ignoring the founding principles of our nation.

1850 - the Democrats passed the Fugitive Slave law which legalized the kidnapping of blacks from northern states regardless of whether they were free or runaway.

This law resulted in a vast increase in traffic of the Underground Railroad to Canada.

1854 - the Democrats passed the Kansas-Nebraska Act which allowed slavery as far north as the Canadian border and as far west as present-day Idaho.

1856 - a dem representative nearly beat a republican senator to death for giving a long anti-slavery speech. The senator took 3.5 years to recover and came right back with another anti-slavery speech. The dem was hailed a hero and won re-election.

1857 – dem controlled SC issued the Dred Scott decision declaring that blacks were not people but property and had no rights.

1860 - Democrats abandon Congress and secede from the Union when the Republicans take the Presidency and Congress and can now implement anti-slavery and civil rights measures.

 Post-Civil War era

After the Civil War the South became functionally Republican as the Democratsnrefused the oath to upload black civil rights. The Democrats were not happy about the results of the war and fought back by manipulating laws and election results and by means of physical intimidation, up to death, when needed.

1866 – Democrats attacked Republican convention in New Orleans killing 40 blacks, 20 whites and wounding 150 people.

1866 – Republicans passed a civil rights bill and dem President Andrew Jackson vetoed it.

1866 – Democrats formed the Ku Klux Klan

1871 – South Carolina dem E.W. Seibels testified before Congress that the KKK was a part of the dem party.

1871 – Republicans passed a bill to punish the KKK, all Democrats opposed this bill.

1872 – James Harper, dem congressman from NC, published a speech about segregated education, which was the dem position Note: segregated schools were finally struck down by the SC in 1954

1875 – Democrats tried to seize the Louisiana legislature from black representatives, federal troops were called in.

1876 – Democrats got control of the House and promptly stalled all civil rights legislation.

1876 – Democrats blackmailed the Republicans for the removal of all troops from the South giving them free reign to oppress and murder blacks.

1893 – Democrats controlled the House, Senate and the Presidency. They began repealing civil rights laws in earnest.

1900 – Democrats sought to repeal the 14th and 15th amendments

1916 – Woodrow Wilson, the Democrat President chose “The Birth of a Nation” (a KKK recruiting film) as the first film to be shown at the White House.

1916 - Margaret Sanger

For those identifying historical figures with racist roots who should be removed from public view because of their evil histories, Planned Parenthood’s founder, Margaret Sanger, must join that list. In promoting birth control, she advanced a controversial "Negro Project,"(summarized below) wrote in her autobiography about speaking to a Ku Klux Klan group and advocated for a eugenics approach to breeding for “the gradual suppression, elimination and eventual extinction, of defective stocks — those human weeds which threaten the blooming of the finest flowers of American civilization.” https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2020/07/23/racism-eugenics-margaret-sanger-deserves-no-honors-column/5480192002/

Blacks make up roughly 12% of the population but account for 35% of abortions.

the Negro Project:

In order to make the project most effective, she suggested that certain black ministers be recruited to support the birth control project since “the most effective educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal.” As historian George Grant has written, “the program’s genocidal intentions were carefully camouflaged beneath several layers of condescending social service rhetoric and organizational expertise. Like the citizens of Hamelin — lured into captivity by the sweet serenades of the Pied Piper — all too many African Americans all across the country happily fell into step behind Margaret and the Eugenic racists she had placed on her Negro Advisory Council.”

FDR finally asked blacks to vote for him but the copy of a news headline ‘2 more lynched in Florida’ was enough to stop that ploy for votes.

FDR’s other flirtations with blacks were quickly shot down by the dem party. Same thing happened during the LBJ administration.

1954 – Brown v Board of Education finally ended segregated schools, although President Eisenhower, a Republican, had to send the troops down south to enforce the ruling. And many dem governors then shut down all schools for everyone.

1956 – Democrats declared that desegregating schools would destroy public education.

1963 - Democrats opposed the 24th amendment which prohibited the poll tax, one of the last instruments the Democrats had to restrict the black vote (which was largely Republican).

2003 – 99% of Democrats voted against a bill providing school vouchers to low-income families (mostly black) in D.C.

Just as was the case in 1857 with Dred Scott, today’s Democrats hold some life as wholly disposable in the form of abortion.
