Have you ever wondered why our government has taken this sudden interest in our health?

It seems like whenever there is an election they at least pretend to care. But this time are they ‘caring’ because it’s an election year or is there another reason for this ‘compassion’?

However this is limited compassion as the government did not authorize extending unemployment benefits or any other kind of aid during this medically-induced economic coma. Only Trump provided the people some relief.

Since I’m a numbers guy I’ve always been influenced by them and other facts over emotional pleadings. As such:

The definition of a pandemic is an epidemic spread over a wide area, like the globe. The CDC threshold for an epidemic is 7% of all hospital deaths are cause by the disease in question. The nation with all of the press about the deaths there: Italy, 582 deaths per million people (0.0582%), the real high: Belgium, 686 deaths per million. The USA, 496 deaths per million.

Now, you tell me if the masks are for our protection.
