I am ignorant of some things; of others I know a little and a few others I may be considered an expert in. But I, like everybody (past, present and future), am ignorant of something. It is no insult.
Until a few years ago I was ignorant of the Constitution and its history, just like many Americans are. There are videos and articles that prove that point.
I started with a simple internet search when I realized the federal government controlled too much of our lives and sought a solution. In short, that one search ‘revealed’ that a Convention of States was a bad idea. That just didn’t sit right after a while.
Why would the men who drafted the Constitution include in that document a way to destroy it?
I then read Article V and what I read showed me that I was right and the internet ‘experts’ were wrong. I did some more digging.
I read ‘The Liberty Amendments’ by Mark Levin, the best book ever written about why we need a Convention of States.
I also read ‘The Law of Article V’ by Rob Natelson and the parts of the Federalist papers that dealt with Article 5 and James Madison’s Constitutional Convention notes about Article 5, as well as Supreme Court cases about Article V.
All of this led me to a fuller knowledge and appreciation for the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the history of our country.
It also made me realize how desperately we need a Convention of States. So, I now volunteer and try to educate the public on the Constitution, their rights within it, their duties and responsibilities and how we can use the Constitution to save the Constitution.
I am still ignorant but now I have a good knowledge of the documents, struggles and history about our great nation.
