How can any American NOT do something to fight for their country when they see what’s going on around them?
I am not suggesting a call to arms. In fact, arms will have little effect on the real enemy. They may be immediately effective on the rioters but the media will use the use of guns as a weapon against us.
If we use guns we will be labeled as radicals and demonized in the media and in the eyes of many in the world. Our enemies already see us a weak, cowardly and not too bright. They’re wrong, but let’s not give them more to bolster that impression.
Our only hope is to use the Constitution. They have perverted much of it over the past century. But even though they’ve tried numerous times to destroy Article V, it remains intact.
Within Article V lies the Tyrant Slayer, that’s what I call it. Most know it as the second of the two options for proposing amendments to the Constitution.
The amending convention option was added in the event the government became tyrannical and therefore no amendments of the proper kind would be proposed. These are the thoughts of George Mason, as recorded by James Madison, when he proposed changing Article V to allow the people, via their states, to propose amendments.
This was one of the only proposal that was adopted without any debate and it still remains unchanged to this day. The time has come to use this amazing gift the Framers gave us.
George Washington inspired many of our Presidents. I’m hoping he will inspire you as well. Here are just two quotes from Mr. Washington. :
“The Independence and Liberty you possess are the work of joint counsels, and joint efforts, of common dangers, sufferings, and successes.”
“If, in the opinion of the people, the distribution or modification of the constitutional powers be in any particular wrong, let it be corrected by an amendment in the way which the Constitution designates.”
